I am a 24 hour emergency locksmith. You can call me for emergencies at any time.
The time it takes for a locksmith to respond to an emergency situation can be very stressful for the person concerned. We try to respond to the situation as quickly as possible within an hour.
We are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
We always try to fix and open locks using NON-DESTRUCTIVE methods as this will keep costs down. But on rare occasions we will have to break a lock if non-destructive entry isn’t possible. We always go through and advise of costings before we proceed with any work.
We usually carry all the parts we need for a lock to be repaired / replaced, but occasionally a specialist lock, part or lock mechanism may be required which is not carried in our van. If a second visit is required to complete a job a single call out fee is charged and no fees will apply for the second visit. We only fit the best quality locks and all parts and labour are guaranteed for 1 year.
You don’t need to panic! – we can help. You may cause further damage to the door lock if you try to remove the key yourself. If the lock snaps at a specific location, we may be able to remove and repair it. A lock replacement may be necessary in more extreme cases.
The rise of lock snapping is a growing concern. Thieves are exploiting weak points in euro profile cylinders, which are installed on 99% of all UPVC doors. Lock snapping is on the rise, and with our expert lock fitting service on hand, First Pick Locksmiths can provide you with an anti-snap lock fitted same day.
If you are moving into a new house, we encourage you to change the locks right away. Firstly, you have no idea how many copies of the keys exist or who has possession of these keys. Secondly, should you be burgled by someone with keys, this may affect your ability to claim on your insurance. For complete peace of mind, please change the locks!
Yes, we believe that changing your locks is the best option if you lose your house keys. When copies are taken, you never know where they are, and if your house is burgled by somebody with a key, your insurance coverage may be voided.
Yes, the details are available on request. Some businesses and organisations that use our services require a risk assessment, and public liability insurance details before work can be carried out.
